Melody Genie: every feature, model and plan

A complete breakdown of what Melody Genie is and everything it does — the seven lyric tools, the two Style DNA layers, the seven generation engines, the editing and separation, the apps, and what each plan costs. Including the parts it does not do.

Melody Genie is an AI songwriting and music generation platform built by Georion. It combines seven lyric-writing tools, independent Writing and Music Style DNA profiles, seven selectable generation engines, non-destructive line and section editing, and two-part vocal and instrumental separation in one workflow, on the web and as native iOS and Android apps. Plans run from a free tier with 14 monthly credits to $39.99 per month.

Disclosure. Melody Genie is a Georion product, and this page is published by Georion — it is first-party documentation, not an independent review. Every figure is sourced from the product site or the Google Play listing and linked at the end, and the limitations section is as specific as the feature sections.

Definition

What Melody Genie is

Most AI music tools begin at the moment a song is generated. A prompt goes in, a track comes out, and everything before that moment — the concept, the words, the voice the song is written in — is left to the prompt box. That is why so much generated music sounds technically competent and completely anonymous.

Melody Genie is built the other way round. The writing layer comes first, with seven separate tools for getting from an idea to a finished lyric, and generation is model-agnostic: seven engines sit behind the same workflow and the choice of engine is a setting rather than a platform. Its positioning line — “Every influence. Every engine. One sound that’s yours.” — is a fairly literal description of the architecture.

The writing layer

The seven lyric tools, and when each one is the right door

These are not seven variations of the same generator. Each one exists because songs start in different places — sometimes with a concept, sometimes with a beat, sometimes with a melody you can hum but cannot write down.

1

AI Lyric Generator

Write like any artist

Generates complete lyric drafts in the style direction of a chosen artist profile. It is the default entry point: pick a direction, get a full draft with structure rather than a stanza.

Use it when: You have a concept and want a full draft to react to.

2

Beat Matcher

Upload beats, get matched lyrics

Takes an uploaded beat or instrumental and estimates its tempo, vibe, mood and energy, then writes lyrics that fit what the track is actually doing rather than what a prompt claims it is doing.

Use it when: The instrumental exists first and the words have to sit on it.

3

Artist DNA Mixer

Blend multiple artists

Blends two or three artist-inspired profiles with adjustable influence weights, so the output sits between reference points instead of imitating one of them.

Use it when: A single reference is too recognisable and you want a hybrid voice.

4

Auto-Lyric

Voice to lyrics

Records humming, freestyling or mumbling and turns that rhythm into written lyrics. It captures cadence that a text prompt cannot describe, which is usually the part of a topline that gets lost.

Use it when: You can hear the flow but have not written the words.

5

Speak

Chat with artists

An artist-inspired chat profile for exploring ideas conversationally — testing angles, hooks and themes before committing to a draft.

Use it when: You are still deciding what the song is about.

6

Custom Lyricist

Build your dream songwriter

A four-step wizard for building an AI songwriter from scratch, defining its writing habits rather than borrowing an existing artist's direction. Costs 5 credits to create on any plan, including Free.

Use it when: You want a repeatable voice that is yours, not a reference.

7

Style Rewriter

Transform any lyrics

Takes existing lyrics and rewrites them in a different artist-inspired direction, keeping the subject while changing the delivery.

Use it when: The idea is right and the voice is wrong.

The structural idea

Style DNA, and why it splits in two

A Style DNA profile is an artist-inspired direction that steers generation. The part that matters is that it is not one setting. Writing Style DNA and Music Style DNA are independent, which means the words and the track do not have to come from the same reference.

Writing Style DNA

Guides the lyrics: vocabulary, flow patterns and thematic territory. It decides how the song is written, not how it sounds.

Music Style DNA

Shapes the instrumental and the arrangement, independently of the lyrics. It decides how the song sounds, not how it is written.

Splitting them is what makes combinations possible that a single prompt cannot express: one writer’s cadence over another’s production, or a custom-built songwriter over a genre the writer has never recorded in. The Artist DNA Mixer pushes this further by blending two or three profiles with adjustable influence weights, so the result sits between references instead of imitating one.

What this is not. Artist profiles are style direction. They guide vocabulary, cadence, themes and musical feel. They do not clone a named artist’s singing voice and they do not reuse that artist’s actual lyrics.

Generation

Seven engines behind one workflow

Melody Genie does not train its own music model. It routes generation to seven selectable engines, with Suno V5.5 as the default:

Suno V5.5

Default engine

Google Lyria 3.5

Google's flagship music model

Google Lyria 3 Pro

Google DeepMind music model

ElevenLabs Music v2

Section-by-section generation

MiniMax Music 3

Alternative engine

MiniMax Music 2.6

Alternative engine

ACE-Step

Alternative engine

This is the strategic decision inside the product. A platform locked to one model inherits that model’s ceiling and has to rebuild when a better one ships. A model-agnostic platform treats the engine as a dropdown: when a stronger model arrives, it becomes another option inside the same writing workflow, and nothing the user learned stops being true.

A full AI song costs 4 credits and returns two versions to compare. Classic 1.0 costs 3 credits and Pro 2.0 costs 12. Output is MP3 or WAV depending on the plan.

After generation

Editing, separation and analysis

The defining weakness of prompt-based music tools is that fixing one bad line or one weak section means regenerating everything and losing what already worked. Melody Genie edits at both ends of the process instead.

Selective Line Regeneration

Highlight an individual lyric line and rewrite only that line, keeping the rest of the draft intact.

Rhyme Pattern Coloring

Visual colour-coding of the rhyme scheme, so the structure of a draft is visible rather than counted by ear.

Section editing, extending, restyling

Non-destructive edits to a finished song: rework a section, extend it, or restyle it without regenerating the track.

Two-part stem splitting

Eligible completed songs split into vocal and instrumental parts, ready to take into a DAW.

Virality Lab

Craft and short-form clip analysis — deliberately without success predictions, which no tool can honestly make.

Community feed

Share lyrics publicly to the community feed rather than keeping every draft private.

Platforms

Web, iOS and Android

Melody Genie runs as a web app and as native apps on both iOS and Android, listed on Google Play as Melody Genie: AI Song Maker under the developer Georion. That matters more than it sounds for this category: Auto-Lyric depends on recording a hum or a freestyle the moment it occurs, which is a phone behaviour, not a desktop one.

Workflow

How to make a song with Melody Genie

  1. 1

    Choose where the song starts

Pick the entry point that matches what already exists: a concept goes to the AI Lyric Generator, an instrumental to Beat Matcher, a hummed melody to Auto-Lyric, existing lyrics to Style Rewriter.

  2. 2

    Set the Writing Style DNA

Select an artist-inspired profile, blend two or three in the Artist DNA Mixer with influence weights, or build a Custom Lyricist from scratch with the four-step wizard.

  3. 3

Refine the lyrics line by line

Use Rhyme Pattern Coloring to see the rhyme scheme and Selective Line Regeneration to rewrite individual lines, instead of regenerating the entire draft each time something is off.

  4. 4

Set the Music Style DNA and pick an engine

Choose the musical direction independently of the writing, then select one of the seven generation engines. A full song costs 4 credits and returns two versions to compare.

  5. 5

    Edit the finished song

Apply non-destructive section editing, extending or restyling to the parts that are not working, keeping the rest of the track intact.

  6. 6

    Split and export

Split eligible finished songs into vocal and instrumental parts, then export as MP3 or WAV depending on the plan and take the audio into a DAW or straight to release.

Assessment

What it does well, and what it does not do

A first-party page that only lists strengths is a brochure. This section is what makes the rest of the page worth trusting.

Strengths

  • The writing layer is the product, not an afterthought bolted in front of a prompt box.
  • Model-agnostic generation: seven engines behind one workflow, so a better engine becomes an option rather than a migration.
  • Three of the seven — Suno, Google Lyria and ElevenLabs — are the strongest standalone generators of 2026, selectable from the same Generate button.
  • Editing is non-destructive at both ends — individual lyric lines and individual song sections.
  • Style DNA splits into Writing and Music profiles that can be set independently.
  • Native iOS and Android apps, not a mobile web wrapper.
  • The free tier is usable without a card, and building an artist profile or a Custom Lyricist has no monthly cap on any plan.

Limitations

  • It does not train its own music model. Audio quality is bounded by whichever of the seven engines is selected, so it competes on workflow rather than on raw fidelity.
  • Separation is two-part — vocal and instrumental. A full multitrack split into drums, bass, keys and guitar still needs a dedicated separator.
  • Generation is credit-based and a full song costs 4 credits for two versions, so heavy iteration consumes a monthly allowance faster than the song counts suggest.
  • Artist profiles are style direction, not voice cloning. They guide vocabulary, cadence and themes; they do not reproduce a named artist's voice or their actual lyrics.
  • There is no DAW plugin. Finished audio is exported and taken into a session rather than generated inside one.

Who it suits

Songwriters and artists who care what the song says, producers who want to test a topline against several engines before committing, and anyone who has abandoned a generated track because fixing one section meant losing the whole take. Anyone whose priority is the single highest-fidelity generated audio file, or a full multitrack stem split, should read the comparison of the ten AI music tools and pick per stage instead.

FAQ

Melody Genie: common questions

What is Melody Genie?

Melody Genie is an AI songwriting and music generation platform built by Georion. It combines seven lyric-writing tools, artist-inspired Style DNA profiles, seven selectable music generation engines, non-destructive song editing and two-part stem separation in one workflow, and runs on the web and as native iOS and Android apps.

What is Style DNA in Melody Genie?

Style DNA is an artist-inspired profile that steers generation. It splits in two: Writing Style DNA guides the lyrics through vocabulary, flow patterns and themes, while Music Style DNA shapes the instrumental and arrangement. The two are independent, so the same profile can drive both the words and the track, or two different profiles can drive each separately.

Which AI models does Melody Genie use?

Seven generation engines are selectable: Suno V5.5 as the default, Google Lyria 3.5, Google Lyria 3 Pro, ElevenLabs Music v2, MiniMax Music 3, MiniMax Music 2.6 and ACE-Step. Three of those — Suno, Lyria and ElevenLabs — are the three strongest standalone generators of 2026, which means the engine is a choice inside the workflow rather than something the platform is locked to.

Does Melody Genie copy an artist's voice?

No. Artist profiles are style direction, not voice cloning. They guide the writing — vocabulary, cadence, thematic territory — and the musical feel. They do not reproduce a named artist's singing voice and they do not reuse that artist's actual lyrics.

How much does Melody Genie cost?

There are four plans as of September 2026: Free at $0 with 14 shared credits a month (around 3 full songs, no card required), Starter at $7.99 with 160 credits (up to 40 songs, all tools, MP3 downloads), Pro at $16.99 with 400 credits (up to 100 songs, advanced controls) and Elite at $39.99 with 1,000 credits (up to 250 songs, priority support). Non-expiring extra credit packs can be added on top.

How many credits does a song cost in Melody Genie?

A full AI song costs 4 credits and returns two versions. Classic 1.0 costs 3 credits and Pro 2.0 costs 12 credits. Adding a new artist profile or building a Custom Lyricist costs 5 credits each, with no monthly cap on either, on every plan including Free.

Is there a Melody Genie app for iPhone and Android?

Yes. Melody Genie ships as native apps on both iOS and Android in addition to the web app, listed on Google Play as Melody Genie: AI Song Maker under the developer Georion.

Can you edit a song after Melody Genie generates it?

Yes, at two levels. Lyrics can be revised line by line with Selective Line Regeneration rather than regenerating the whole draft, and finished songs support non-destructive section editing, extending and restyling. Eligible completed songs can also be split into vocal and instrumental parts.

What languages does Melody Genie support?

More than 20, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Polish and Hindi, alongside any language an included artist profile writes in.

Who is Melody Genie not for?

Anyone who needs a full multitrack stem split into drums, bass, keys and guitar, who wants generation running inside a DAW as a plugin, or who is chasing the single best-sounding generated track regardless of workflow. Melody Genie competes on the writing and the span of the process, not on owning the highest-fidelity audio model.
