Best AI Visibility Tools 2026: What They Actually Cost

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Almost every page ranking for this query was written by a company selling one of the tools on its own list. This one is no different — Georion is on the list below. So rather than ask you to trust a ranking, this page does the one thing those lists mostly skip: it puts the published prices side by side, links every figure to the vendor's own pricing page, and says which tool wins each job even when that tool is not ours.

How this comparison was made, and what it is not

Every number below was read from the vendor's own pricing or product page on July 28, 2026, and every one is linked. Where a company does not publish a price, this page says so rather than repeating a figure from a third-party blog.

This is a comparison of published facts. It is not a hands-on review. We have not run these nine tools side by side against the same prompt set, and any page that claims to have done so should be asked for its data. Where this page says a tool is the better choice for a job, that judgement rests on what the vendor documents — price, prompt allowance, engine coverage — not on a bake-off.

Two things make the numbers harder to compare than they look, and both are covered below: a "prompt" does not mean the same thing at every vendor, and several tools meter in credits rather than prompts.

The cheapest way to start monitoring is Otterly

At $29 a month Otterly tracks 15 prompts across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. That is the lowest published entry point in this table, and the four engines it includes at that price cover the surfaces most brands care about first. Claude and Gemini are sold as paid add-ons rather than included.

If your question is "am I showing up in AI answers at all", this is the cheapest honest way to find out.

The widest coverage for the money is Scrunch or Brand Radar

Scrunch publishes $300 a month month-to-month, or $250 billed annually, and covers ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta on one plan — the broadest engine list in this table that does not require an enterprise conversation.

Ahrefs Brand Radar is priced as a separate add-on rather than being included in an Ahrefs plan: $398 a month for selected platforms, $699 for all of them. That is expensive next to Scrunch, but if your team already lives in Ahrefs, the visibility data landing beside your existing backlink and keyword work has a real value that a standalone dashboard does not.

Watch the engine count at the entry tier

The single most common way to overpay in this category is buying an entry plan whose headline engine list belongs to a higher tier.

Profound is the clearest example: its published Starter plan at $99 a month covers ChatGPT only, with the wider engine list arriving at Growth and Enterprise. The nine engines quoted in its marketing are the Enterprise figure. AthenaHQ meters in credits rather than prompts — one credit is one AI response — so 3,600 credits is not the same unit as "3,600 prompts" and the two cannot be compared directly.

Peec AI publishes no monthly price at all on its pricing page. The plan tiers and prompt allowances are listed; the money is not. Any figure you read for Peec on a third-party blog is that blog's claim, not the vendor's.

If you already pay for an SEO suite

Semrush now builds AI visibility features into its Starter, Pro+ and Advanced plans rather than selling them as a bolt-on, with plans running from $117.33 a month billed annually. If you are already paying for it, check what is included before buying a second tool — for many teams the built-in coverage is enough to answer the first questions, and a specialist only becomes worth it when you need prompt-level depth.

Where Georion fits, and where it does not

Georion is our product, so here is the part most listicles leave out.

On monitoring economics, Georion is the most expensive tool in this table. Starter is $69 a month for 5 tracked prompts — roughly $13.80 per prompt, against Otterly's $1.93 at $29. Georion also does not currently query Perplexity, and checks Google AI Overviews on its top tier only. If prompt monitoring is the whole job, several tools above will serve you better and cost less. That is not false modesty; it is arithmetic.

What a Georion plan does include, which the monitoring specialists do not sell, is the rest of the work: Search Console opportunity analysis, a 242-check technical audit, article generation, competitor tracking, CRO experiments and revenue attribution. The comparison only favours Georion if you would otherwise be paying for a monitor, an SEO platform and a content tool separately. If you are buying one tool to do one job, buy the specialist.

The free plan covers one website, one AI visibility scan a month and 100 chatbot messages, which is enough to see whether you appear in AI answers before deciding anything.

What the prices do not tell you

A "prompt" is not a standard unit. Some vendors count one prompt as one question tracked across all your engines; others count each engine separately, so 50 prompts across 5 engines can mean 50 checks or 250. Ask before you buy.

Refresh frequency changes the real cost. Daily tracking on 15 prompts is 450 checks a month; weekly is 60. Two tools quoting the same prompt allowance can differ by an order of magnitude in what they actually run.

Engine coverage moves. Vendors in this category add engines, shift them between tiers and reprice them regularly — several of the tools above sell engines as add-ons today that were bundled, or absent, not long ago. The check date on this page is there because it will go stale, and the source links are there so you can see the current position yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest AI visibility tool in 2026?

Of the tools with published pricing, Otterly.AI has the lowest entry point at $29 a month for 15 tracked prompts across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. AthenaHQ and Georion both offer free tiers if you only want to check your current position rather than monitor it continuously.

Which AI visibility tools publish their prices?

Otterly, Scrunch, Ahrefs Brand Radar and Semrush publish full pricing. Profound, AthenaHQ and Evertune publish self-serve tiers but gate enterprise pricing. Peec AI publishes no monthly prices on its pricing page at all, listing only plan tiers and prompt allowances.

How many AI engines should a tool cover?

Cover the engines your buyers actually use rather than maximising the count. ChatGPT and Google's AI surfaces — AI Overviews and AI Mode — reach the most people; Perplexity matters disproportionately in technical and research-heavy categories. A tool covering four relevant engines beats one covering eleven where seven are irrelevant to you, and engine counts quoted in marketing are frequently the enterprise-tier figure rather than what the entry plan includes.

Do AI visibility tools improve your visibility, or only measure it?

Most measure. Monitoring tells you which prompts you lose and to whom, which is necessary but not sufficient — something still has to change on your site. Some platforms add optimisation or content generation on top; when comparing, separate what a tool reports from what it actually changes, because the pricing rarely distinguishes them.

Is this page ranked or tested?

Neither. It compares published prices and documented engine coverage as of July 28, 2026, with every figure linked to its source. We have not run these tools side by side, and the sections above recommend by job rather than declaring an overall winner.
